Revolution MMAYou can usually find Abby working non stop for her gym: Revolution MMA . Abby is a lifetime Martial Artist, having started at the age of 7.  Abby began competing almost immediately with great success that took her all over the world.  Her first international competition was on the US Junior TaeKwondo Team, which competed in Glasgow, Scotland. She went on to compete at numerous international European and World Championships as well as the Junior Olympics. After attaining her TaeKwondo goals of earning State, National, European and World Championships, Abby moved in to Kickboxing and then Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2003.  As a Jiu Jitsu practitioner, Abby became the first female black belt in Arkansas and one of the few American women to reach that rank.

In 2005, after many years of Martial Arts and Business Training, as well as after studying abroad and earning a college degree, Abby opened her Martial Arts school, Revolution MMA , while pursuing a Master’s Degree.  In 2008, Abby made a pivotal decision to leave her graduate degree program and work at the school full time. You will find her teaching Muay Thai Kickboxing classes, Jiu Jitsu Classes and Kid’s Jiu Jitsu Classes at Revolution MMA in Benton and Hot Springs, and working with the Benton High School Wrestling Team as a volunteer.  Abby still successfully competes in multiple disciplines and coaches students of all ages on the competition field. She is well versed in the soviet sports model of strength and conditioning, having trained under John Davies since 2006, and believes the lack of implementation of a proper strength and conditioning model in Martial Arts is one of the top fallacies of almost all programs.  Her gym Revolution MMA set out to correct this problem. One thing that makes Revolution MMA  light years ahead of other gyms is their strength and conditioning model that runs congruently with their curriculums.  In addition, Abby possesses a high level of knowledge of Martial Arts systems, curriculum and structure: what it takes to make a student and team succeed. Using previous knowledge from traditional Martial Arts training, Abby was quickly able to mastermind a Kids Jiu Jitsu curriculum, something which many schools still do not have. Abby was also instrumental in masterminding the adult Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing curriculums, which have taken many of Revolution MMA ‘s students to compete at the highest levels and made Revolution MMA a leader in the area with an unparalleled curriculum and structure for student success. Many people wonder what has helped her survive so long in a male dominated sport and industry, and that is her 100% commitment to her personal goals and improvement, as well as and helping her students at Revolution MMA succeed.

When not working at the gym Abby is often spending time on other hobbies. Abby is an avid animal lover. She owns 4 dogs: 2 toy poodles named Bonsai and Enso, who are fixtures at Revolution MMA , as well as Konnor and Musashi who live outside. She also owns several sugar gliders and flying squirrels , 2 rabbits and a fish.  In addition to her animals, Abby spends time gardening and on education.
